A life sentence has been handed down to a man who was convicted of fatally shooting his stepson.
Felix Santiago Torres on Wednesday was ordered to serve a maximum of life in prison and a minimum of 27 years following an April jury conviction of first-degree murder, according to a news release from the Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office and online court records.
Torres shot and killed 21-year-old Danny Borges Santiago on the morning of April 17, 2024, following a domestic dispute involving Santiago’s mother, the prosecutor’s office said.
