SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The finish line is in sight for a new multi-million dollar cross-country course in Spokane Valley, but there is still one more hurdle left before it can be used: waiting for the grass to grow.
The 46-acre cross-country venue, dubbed The Course, is a project that Spokane Sports and the City of Spokane Valley have been working on for several years and is set to host everything from middle school to master’s level races.
The $7 million project aimed to be an economic boom for the area. The project is primarily funded through the city’s lodging tax revenue and is expected to attract athletes of all skill levels as well as visitors that will shop, eat and stay in Spokane Valley…
