Canadian health food company bringing nearly 400 new jobs to former Kellogg’s plant

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Nearly 400 new jobs are coming to Fayette County as a former Kellogg’s plant is slated to become a home for a health food manufacturer, state leaders said Friday.

Vibrant Health Products, based in British Columbia, Canada, plans to invest $48.5 million and create 394 jobs over the next five years in Rossville, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development said.

The Rossville plant, which once made Eggo products, closed last year, affecting 142 workers.

This will be the first U.S. manufacturing location for Vibrant Health Products, which does business under the name Silver Hill. The company, founded in 1989, produces certified organic, gluten-free, grain-free, plant-based, paleo and keto baked goods for its own consumer brands as well as private labels, TNECD said…
