Man in custody after SWAT standoff in Shively

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man is in custody after a lengthy SWAT standoff in Shively Thursday evening, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2700 block of Woodmere Avenue around 1:30 p.m. to serve an arrest warrant, LMPD spokesperson John Bradley said. The warrant was for three counts of wanton endangerment.
