The City of Mobile and Mobile Parks and Recreation Department (MPRD) recently celebrated the opening of a nationally recognized playground at Figures Park. Designed and installed by Struthers Recreation, the playground is a $600,000 investment funded by the City of Mobile’s Capital Improvement Program. It has already been recognized as part of PlayCore’s National Demonstration Site Program, which promotes physical activity and nature-based play, for its design. It is the third MPRD facility to be recognized by PlayCore, joining recently built playgrounds at Mill Street and Tricentennial Park.
