SIOUX CITY, Iowa — A jury convicted Cedrinique Coleman of Chicago on multiple charges related to illegal firearm purchases in federal court after a four-day trial.
Coleman, 32, was found guilty of four counts of false statements during firearm purchases and two counts of “straw purchasing.” She was acquitted of two additional false statement charges.
The trial revealed that from April 2020 to July 2023, Coleman purchased seven firearms. Law enforcement became aware of her activities when these firearms appeared at crime scenes in Iowa and beyond.
