Justin May and his family looked at homes to purchase in Tigard and Wilsonville as they prepared to move back to Oregon from North Carolina in 2022 for a job in human resources at Daimler Truck North America’s Portland headquarters.
The Mays have family in Stayton and decided his hometown of Woodburn, with its easy access to Interstate 5, was the spot for them.
“The other piece is (you get) a little bit more for your money there,” May said. “A house with a little bit of a yard. The closer you get to Portland, the tighter the space seems to get.”…
