Five members of the Hoover Fire Department have returned home after a 14-day deployment to Kendall and Kerr County, Texas, where they assisted in recovery, search, and rescue efforts following severe flooding along the Guadalupe River.
The firefighters were part of Alabama Task Force 2, which included personnel from Guntersville Fire/Rescue, Fort Payne Fire Department, Vestavia Hills Fire Department, Decatur Fire & Rescue, and Mountain Brook Fire Department.
