NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Trident Medical Center marked its 50-year anniversary Friday by welcoming back physicians, staff, and patients who were there since it opened.
In July 1975, Trident Regional Hospital cut the ribbon and opened its doors as the newest tri-county facility. It had 220 beds and an emergency room, but now it is known as Trident Medical Center with 312 beds and six affiliated care centers across the Lowcountry.
