New owners take over, renovate Cincinnati West Side sports card store

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – A longstanding sports card and memorabilia shop nestled in Cincinnati’s West Side has reopened under new owners.

Shoeless Joe’s Sports Cards at 6123 Bridgetown Road in Green Township was closed for three months and recently resumed operations June 21. The shop reopened with new owners – Kevin and Dan Burke and their mother and father – along with a new makeover. The Burke family takes over for Tom Huber, who started the business in 1997.

Cincinnati natives Kevin and Dan Burke grew up going to the card shop. The brothers had known Huber early on as his children went to grade school with them at St. Ignatius of Loyola. Kevin Burke told me his brother had asked Huber about his plans for the shop, but it wasn’t until late last year that Huber reached out to start discussing selling the business…
