Emergency crews sent to scene of shots fired incident in Dauphin County

Emergency crews were dispatched to the 400 block of Woodbine Street in Harrisburg Thursday afternoon after multiple 911 callers reported gunfire erupting in the neighborhood. According to emergency dispatchers, shots rang out just after 3:20 p.m., prompting a swift response from fire units, EMS, and law enforcement.

When first responders arrived, they found a juvenile male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Harrisburg Police Public Information Officer Kyle Gautsch confirmed that officers from an outside agency—already patrolling nearby—rushed to assist and rendered aid until EMS crews took over. The victim was transported to Hershey Medical Center for emergency treatment; his condition has not been released.
