HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – It’s a busy time of year for crews at both the Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach Fire Departments, as leaders report an abundance of applicants are vying for jobs during the recruitment process.
The MBFD confirmed on Friday that it saw roughly 450 firefighter and EMS applications between June 20 and July 7; the highest number the agency has recorded since 2008.
