BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A Baton Rouge woman has been arrested after deputies say she allegedly tried to shoot her mother during a dispute at a local restaurant.
According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Alexeia Hammond, 26, was arrested on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 7:49 a.m. She faces multiple felony charges related to a shooting that happened the day prior at the “Eat ‘N’ Geaux” restaurant on Airline Highway.
According to investigators, Hammond had been involved in a dispute with her mother. While speaking with her on the phone, Hammond allegedly became verbally aggressive before a gunshot shattered a glass window at the business…
