AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Transportation’s Amarillo District released its “Know Before You Go” report on lane closures for this week.
According to TxDOT, road closures and detours expected throughout this week include:
Monday,
- The westbound State Loop (SL) 335 exit ramp to Helium Road will be closed for high-mast lighting installation.
Tuesday,
- The left two lanes of southbound I-27 at 26th Street will be closed for concrete repairs at Washington Street.
- The right lane of southbound US 87, from just north of FM 1719 to just south of Mobley Street, will be closed for repair operations.
- The work is expected to be completed by Friday, August 1 with the closures in effect for the entire duration of the project. The following entrance and exit ramps will be closed during this time:
- The southbound US 87 entrance ramp from FM 1719
- The southbound US 87 entrance ramp from Mobley Street
- The southbound US 87 exit ramp to Mobley Street
Throughout the Week
- Expect various left lane closures on the I-40 frontage road from Crockett Street to Soncy Road for high-mast lighting installation.
- The right two lanes of the westbound I-40 frontage road at Paramount Boulevard will be closed for patching operations.
- Expect daily lane closures on SH 15 from the east side of Perryton to the west side of Booker for asphalt rehabilitation and hot mix overlay operations. The work is expected to be completed this summer. Traffic lights and a pilot car will be in designated areas to guide traffic during this time
