Buddy Orsak from Three Rivers has been inducted into the Texas Agriculture Teachers Hall of Fame, a prestigious honor presented by the Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas. The induction took place at the association’s annual convention held July 21-25 in Corpus Christi.
The Hall of Fame recognizes agricultural science teachers whose careers, achievements, and contributions to education and the agricultural industry are exemplary. For Orsak, who served in the Three Rivers ISD Agriculture Department from 1984 until his retirement in 2020, the honor reflects a 36-year career built on community service, student success, and a lifelong commitment to agricultural education.
Three Rivers ISD Superintendent Les Dragon nominated Orsak explaining, “He is most deserving of the award in terms of the thousands of students he helped through the years. He put in his hours, and I cannot imagine all of the conventions, competitions, county and state shows that he has been a part of!”…
