Sales and Use Tax Allocations

Sales and use tax allocations rose sharply in several South Texas cities this month, with notable gains in Ingleside, Portland, and Woodsboro, according to the latest state comptroller data.

Ingleside posted a 49.47% increase over the same period last year, collecting $427,250 in sales tax revenue. Year-to-date, the city has brought in over $3.27 million — a nearly 49% surge from last year.

Portland also saw a strong month, with nearly $700,000 in tax collections, a 19.98% increase. So far this year, Portland’s collections have grown by 14.72% to $4.87 million…
