SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — Amazon is hiring workers for its new facility in Slidell, creating new employment opportunities and speeding up deliveries.
“I think a lot of Slidellians will apply for the job, and hopefully they’ll, you know, take those jobs. I think it’s great for Slidell because we need the money. The building is here. Let’s use it. Let’s begin business,” said Slidell resident Cindy Strecker.
“We’re set up for distribution. We’re set up for big business to come in and use our interstate access to grow their business here,” said Councilman Trey Brownfield.
