ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM) is helping the homeless and others who do not have adequate cooling stay safe during the heat wave in the Carolinas.
“I don’t know if any of us are ready for what we’re getting ready to experience,” said ABCCM chief administrative officer Tim Mcelyea. “During these times, it’s important to make sure you’re in a good place where you can stay cool and not to get overheated.”
