BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — One person was killed and an alleged drunken driver placed under arrest after a crash early Sunday on Fairfax Road.
Police said 40-year-old Juan Rangel of Bakersfield was driving a pickup south in the 7900 block of Fairfax Road when it drifted into the northbound lane, colliding with a silver car. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 12:30 a.m.
The car’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Rangel had minor injuries. There were no other occupants in either vehicle…
