Body found floating in Cumberland River

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville first responders were called out Saturday morning after a man’s body was seen floating in the Cumberland River near Rock Harbor Marina.

According to the Nashville Fire Department, crews were first notified about the body in the river around 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 26. A fisherman reportedly spotted it near mile marker 183.

Officials told News 2 that NFD personnel recovered the body before turning the scene over to the Metro Nashville Police Department and the medical examiner.

Authorities said the unidentified man had multiple tattoos on his torso and arms, including “1997” on his upper left arm and “Cashville” on his abdomen. He was fully clothed, wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and black shoes…
