NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — It was hot times at Norfolk’s Harbor Park Friday as thousands of fans sweltered for a summer edition of Banana Ball.
The three-game series kicked off in Norfolk Thursday and continues through Saturday, and while Friday’s temperatures soared above 90 degrees, that didn’t deter an enthusiastic, sold-out crowd.
“Banana Ball is so fun because they really interact the crowd, there’s constantly different games and you’re singing and chanting,” one fan told 10 On Your Side. “We saw them in Savannah over spring break and it was a blast, and it’s so cool to be back here in Norfolk.”…
