Governor Healey elected to National Governors Association Executive Committee

BOSTON (WWLP) – The National Governors Association (NGA) has elected Governor Maura Healey to its Executive Committee, which supervises the association’s functions and priorities.

Governor Healey was elected to the committee on Saturday among eight other members. The Executive Committee is elected annually, serving as guidance for the entire NGA on all policy issues and identifying key issues to address at the state, national, and global levels.

The NGA is comprised of the leaders of the country’s states, territories, and commonwealths, working together to determine how best to serve their communities. The Executive Committee has authority and primary jurisdiction over issues involving federalism, homeland security, the federal budget, and federal tax policy.

Joining Governor Healey on the committee are NGA Chair Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, NGA Vice Chair and 2026-2027 Chair-elect Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Hawai’i Governor Josh Green, Indiana Governor Mike Braun, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee.
