Early Morning Fog Hits Eastern Wisconsin: Reduced Visibility on Roads From Appleton to Shawano Until 8 a.m.

Green Bay, Wis. – Drivers across central and eastern Wisconsin are waking up to patchy dense fog this morning, making early travel hazardous in several counties from Vilas to Calumet.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, fog developed before dawn Sunday and is expected to linger until around 8 a.m. Visibility may drop sharply at times in areas including Marathon, Outagamie, Wood, and Waupaca counties.

Roads like U.S. Highway 51 near Wausau and stretches of I-41 near Appleton could see especially limited visibility. Motorists are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave extra space between vehicles…
