Hot Week Ahead with Increasing Rain Chances

We’re tracking a slight shift in the weather pattern that will bring us some hotter-than-normal conditions as we move into the beginning of the week. Tomorrow, we’ll see intervals of clouds and sunshine, and can’t rule out a stray shower or thunderstorm, but the real heat arrives on Monday. Expect hot and humid conditions, with temperatures climbing into the mid-90s. The heat peaks on Tuesday, with temperatures potentially touching 100 degrees across inland locations, so please be sure to take the necessary precautions to stay cool.

Fortunately, the worst of the heat should pull back midweek. Rain chances are expected to increase starting Wednesday, and by late week, the area could see another increase in shower and thunderstorm activity. A front moving along the Gulf Coast will bring with it an increase in moisture. This shift will also bring slightly cooler temperatures along with it.
