Palmyra Man Charged in Death of Nebraska State Trooper

A Palmyra man has been charged in connection with the death of Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Kyle McAcy, who was killed during a snowstorm while responding to a crash on Interstate 80 in February.

KLIN media partner 1011 Now reports: 56-year-old Thomas Jordan was charged Thursday in Cass County Court with one count of misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment on August 26.

The incident took place on February 17 near Ashland, where Trooper McAcy and another trooper were assisting at the scene of a crash involving two vehicles and a Nebraska Department of Transportation snow plow.
