Montgomery County developments are adding hundreds of new homes in Magnolia, Willlis and more

Montgomery County’s residential growth remains robust as many developers are expanding communities in Magnolia, Willis and other areas, driven by the increasing population in the region.

Researchers with the Kinder Institute for Urban Research found in their Kinder Houston Area Survey for 2025 that the people, culture, economic opportunities and activities are what residents like the most about living in the Houston area. Around 80% of residents across Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties said the Houston area was a better place to live compared to other major metro areas around the country.
