When Ava James was a Girl Scout Junior, her troop was working on their Bronze Award.
Originally the troop was going to focus the project around foster children, but the idea fell through and the girls worked on a summer food drive project to help kids who don’t have as much food security as others. Still, the idea of working on a project for foster kids lingered in James’s mind.
