Year after Borel Fire, Inyokern ranch aids displaced, plans community center

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — It’s been a year since Kern County’s largest wildfire, the Borel Fire, displaced several people and burned through several communities.

Shelters opened across the region to house evacuees, one being over an hour away in the middle of the desert.
