Monroe County Community College now offers EMT classes at night

Monroe County Community College’s Emergency Medical Technician program is now available in the evenings at the Bedford location, according to an announcement.

The program, housed at the Whitman Center in Temperance, is in its second year and requires students to complete four courses — two in the fall semester and two in the winter semester. These courses can now be taken from 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Previously, classes were only offered from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday to accommodate high school students who dual enroll, according to EMT program director Shawn McBride…
