National Weather Service issues Heat Advisory for parts of North Georgia

The National Weather Service warns that extreme heat and humid conditions are expected in north and central Georgia through Wednesday, with parts of northeast Georgia under a Heat Advisory through Tuesday night.

The NWS reports that as the heat wave continues, the organization expects heat index values of 103 to 112 degrees Fahrenheit, the highest temperatures of the summer in the state so far.

As of Monday morning, the advisory was extended to include Hall and Forsyth counties, after it was initially issued for Jackson, Barrow, Stephens, Banks, Franklin, Madison and Hart counties…
