Your Weather Planner
After showers and thunderstorms tapered off Sunday night, much of the state is starting out hot and humid this morning. We’ll have mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies through midday with temperatures in the 60s and 70s climbing quickly through midday. Once again, most of the state will top out in the 90s to lower 100s today with a heat index near or over 105 in some places and as high as 115. Expect scattered thunderstorms to redevelop in the afternoon that will linger into the evening with a low risk for some to produce damaging winds in addition to heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.
