Gov. Beshear kicks off second annual KSP Youth Academy

FRANKFORT, Ky., (KBSI) — Gov. Andy Beshear has launched the second annual Kentucky State Police Youth Academy Program, a week-long initiative introducing teenagers to law enforcement principles.

The program, held at Trooper Island Camp, provides 16- and 17-year-olds with hands-on training, leadership skills and insight into law enforcement careers.

“Building trust between law enforcement and young Kentuckians is crucial,” Beshear said. “This program helps recruit and prepare tomorrow’s first responders.”…
