Richmond, Va. – A dangerous stretch of extreme heat will continue into Monday evening across much of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, with heat index values soaring as high as 107°F in some areas.
According to the National Weather Service in Wakefield, an Extreme Heat Warning expired Sunday at 8 p.m., but a Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. Monday for more than 30 counties and cities, including Virginia Beach, Richmond, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Hertford, NC.
