ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – https://www.appalachianpower.com/ announced a transmission improvements project that would affect Amherst and Bedford counties, plus the city of Lynchburg, and will host an open house to gather input from the community, according to officials from the company.
The Abert-Reusens Tranmission Improvements Project would involve:
- Upgrading five miles of 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line in or near the existing right-of-way
- Associated upgrades to the Abert Substation
The open house will be on Tuesday, August 12 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance located at 300 Lucado Place, Lynchburg, VA 24504.
