Des Moines police investigating two Sunday morning shootings

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department announced that they are investigating two shootings early Sunday morning.

According to the department, just before 3 a.m. officers responded to Broadlawns Medical Center after after an adult male showed up to the property seeking care for a gunshot wound to leg.

The person was identified later by police as 31-year-old Andre Beasley. Beasley was uncooperative with the investigation, declining to give details of the shooting incident and provided officers with a false name. The department said further investigation found that Beasley had an active felony arrest warrant. After he was cared for at the medical center, officers took him into custody and booked him in the Polk County Jail…
