A Dorchester man faces multiple charges relating to drug trafficking and firearm offenses after an early morning bust last Tuesday. According to a report by the Boston Police Department, 56-year-old Marc Smith was apprehended by officers from the Drug Control Unit on Fowler Street after they observed him parking his vehicle, which led to the discovery of illegal substances and a loaded weapon.
Officers from District C-6 and D-14, actively engaged in a narcotics investigation, approached Smith, who was informed of the search warrants for his person, his vehicle, and an apartment linked to him; in subsequent searches police found four plastic bags containing roughly forty-one grams of Fentanyl and thirty grams of crack cocaine among other items consistent with drug distribution, they also discovered a Smith & Wesson XD-9 handgun, equipped with one round in its chamber and sixteen in the magazine and additional ammo was found within the residence…
