Early morning fire grows to 200 acres near Clarkson

CLARKSON, Wash. – A fire near Clarkson has prompted state fire assistance.

The Clayton Road Fire started early Monday morning and is estimated to be 200 acres large and growing. It is currently burning in grass and is threatening rangeland.

No evacuations have been issued for the fire at this time, however, boaters are being told to avoid the Snake River in the area of Chief Timothy Park as air resources will be scooping water out of the river…
