Meridian officer honored with state award for drug prevention and education efforts

MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — The Meridian Police Department announced Officer Robert Rodriguez was named the 2024-2025 recipient of the Enrique “Kiki” Camarena Award for the State of Idaho. He was formally recognized during the Idaho State Elks Association Summer Convention held on June 7 in Wallace, Idaho. He will be publicly honored again at the July 22 Meridian City Council meeting.

This recognition honors law enforcement professionals who demonstrate commitment to drug prevention and education. His peers selected Officer Rodriguez for exemplifying the principles and values of sacrifice, integrity and dedication to public service.
