Miki Bowls, one of Greensboro’s Many Food Trucks

On Sunday evening, before the MUSEP concert at the Van Dyke Performance Space in the Cultural Arts Center, Miki Bowls was there to provide food for attendees. The food trucks provide a much-needed service for people who attend the Sunday afternoon music events. While some people pack a picnic, these are those who rely on a food option or two being available. Miki Bowls, the bright floral truck was launched in Greensboro in 2021.

Miki serves açai bowls, made from just about any fruit you can think of; at least eleven fruits, granola, coconut, chia, flax, sea moss, and cacao nibs. They also serve smoothies and juices. They do catering and special events.

The food truck craze in the US began in 2008, with the economic downturn, a viable option to brick and mortar. The rise of social media has made advertising and promoting food trucks easier. With a tank full of gas and good tires, a food truck can get to their target customers. With the click of a button, customers can find out their truck’s favorite schedule.
