FRANKFORT, KY (July 15, 2025) – Attorney General Russell Coleman announced today action by the Attorney General’s Violent Crime Reduction Team (VRT) resulted in a felony indictment which could put a convicted felon behind bars. The Louisville-based VRT is part of the Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit.
Chucobyion Javell McAtee, 21, was indicted by a Jefferson County Grand Jury on a charge of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon (Class C Felony). McAtee was arraigned this week and returns to court Aug. 29th for a pre-trial conference.
