MOBILE, Ala. — A Mobile County woman has been charged with murder after allegedly beating her 70-year-old grandmother to death with a mallet, with her chilling confession captured on a neighbor’s doorbell camera.
Jailen Mia Lupton was arrested after Diane Morrow Trest was found dead in the front yard of her home. The murder weapon, a mallet, was discovered nearby.
