Sacramento man sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for distribution of fentanyl

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A Sacramento man has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in fentanyl trafficking. U.S. District Judge Dale A. Drozd handed down the sentence on Monday.

26-year-old Jose Luis Aguilar Saucedo received a sentence of seven years and six months for distributing fentanyl. Acting U.S. Attorney Kimberly A. Sanchez announced the sentencing in a press release that was issued to media outlets.

Court documents revealed Aguilar Saucedo distributed hundreds of fentanyl pills designed to look like “M-30” oxycodone pills. He sold these pills to a DEA confidential source on three separate occasions in 2020…
