Gen Z is drinking less; Cincinnati bars are responding

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – Over the past few years, news reports have found – including those in Time, Forbes and USA Today – that young adults are drinking less alcohol, specifically Gen Z, which are individuals born between 1997 and 2012.

In 2023, Gallup reported that 62% of adults under the age of 35 say they drink alcohol. That’s down from 72% two decades ago. And in a 2023 article published on the Cleveland Clinic’s website, the institute recognized the trend.
