Asheboro police pull over driver going 79 mph in a 35 mph zone on Fayetteville Street

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The Asheboro Police Department is warning drivers to slow down after they pulled a person over who was driving at twice the speed limit on Fayetteville Street on Wednesday morning.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the police department shared a photo of an officer’s radar and a vehicle they pulled over, displaying a clocked speed of 79 mph.

Police say the car was pulled over on Fayetteville Street, where the speed limit is 35 mph. The area is one of the top streets for crashes in Asheboro…
