Lancaster city police stand by ‘use of force’ seen in controversial viral video

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A controversial viral video taken in March showed police arresting two Lancaster city kids who were seen riding without their bike lights on. That incident shook the local community to the point where some people called it police brutality.

Lancaster City Police reached out CBS 21 saying a lot took place before the cameras were recording. Lancaster City Police Sergeant Todd Grager says officers did their jobs.

“It doesn’t always sound pretty when it’s happening, but the soft empty hand techniques that were utilize were utilized by policy and that’s what our officers are trained to do. And it was actually conducted in a very swift manner,” said Grager…
