BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The best way to beat the heat is by staying indoors, if possible. While most will be cranking up the air conditioning, there are a few ways you can still save money on your energy bill.
“The number one use of electricity in your home is your air conditioning unit,” said Anthony Cook, Alabama Power Media Relations Principal. “Your unit uses more energy than anything else in your home so the less you use it, the lower your bill is gonna be. The more you use it, the higher your bill is gonna be.”
