Conway man arrested in Marion County after running from a traffic stop, sheriff’s office says

MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Conway man was arrested in Marion County after he ran away from a traffic stop and deputies searched his car, according to the sheriff’s office.

Agent Scott and K9 Dutchie with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested Pharrell Simmons, 21, of Conway, Tuesday after attempting to make a traffic stop on Highway 501.

In a release from the sheriff’s office, Agent Scott and another agent tried to initiate a traffic stop when Simmons ran away.

Simmons was charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, failure to stop for a blue light and resisting arrest, according to the sheriff’s office…
