Gov. Hochul, Rep. Mannion warn federal policy could gut child healthcare in NYS

ALBANY, N.Y. — Governor Kathy Hochul is warning New York State residents about a new federal policy she said could mean the loss of health coverage for more than 750,000 children in the state.

Hochul said New York State implemented a policy in January that ensures continued coverage for children from birth to the age of 6 enrolled in Medicaid and Child Health Plus, regardless of short-term changes in family income.
