ST. LOUIS – A man was detained Wednesday morning after sneaking into the Carnahan Courthouse overnight, being escorted by deputies, and then attempting to reenter the building unauthorized, police say.
Around 7 a.m. Wednesday, officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to 10 N. Tucker Blvd., just outside the courthouse, after the man, who had previously been removed from the building, attempted to return inside.
Investigators say, while inside, the man roamed multiple floors of the courthouse for several hours undetected. At some point, he was confronted and escorted out by courthouse deputies.
