A strong cold front is headed for Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Ross Janssen says it was another hot and humid day with highs in the middle to upper 90s with high humidity in place, some areas felt as hot as 105.

Our highly advertised strong cold front will finally start to move in tonight, but it will be slow moving and will bring a chance of stormy weather. The best odds will be along and north of I-70 with little to no rainfall expected along and south of highway 400. While a strong storm or two is expected, widespread severe weather is unlikely.

A cold front will sweep across the state on Wednesday setting the stage for additional scattered showers and storms late tomorrow into early Thursday. Like the past few events, heavy rainfall and isolated damaging wind gusts are the main concerns…
